Spring Monarch Migration thru Texas!
Monarch butterflies are searching the landscape for milkweed plants. Once they find milkweed the females will lay eggs and caterpillars will hatch. I was lucky enough to locate milkweed in San Antonio that had monarch caterpillars and eggs on the plants.
Monarch Butterflies have departed form central Mexico and are passing thru Texas all Spring long. I recently visited Austin and San Antonio Texas and can report the progress I have seen in the Monarch migration.
